On becoming Pharmarun

I am often asked what exactly we do at https://www.pharmarun.africa/

After saying pharmacy errand service, I’d go on to tell you how I’m sure you sometimes look for things your local store doesn’t have and may be too busy to look elsewhere.

After my lengthy explanation backed by user persona, the person would say, “oh! so you offer speciality meds (medication we can’t easily find)” 🤦🏼‍♀️

I then decided to refer to us as an on-demand pharmacy. The response then became ok, I get it’s an online pharmacy. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Then I had to ask myself, what’s our primary purpose and goal. Let’s put English aside for a moment. What are we trying to achieve? Then it hit me for the first time.

Our goal is to increase access to pharmacies and medications. We don’t want people to run out of medication because they couldn’t make the trip or because they can’t find the brand they are used to.

Our aim is pretty straightforward: We just want to increase your options of pharmacies and ensure you receive the medication whenever and wherever you need it. It is also important to make sure the medication arrives on time since if it’s delayed for more than 12hours, it’s of no use.

That makes sense Teni, Pharmarun is an aggregator for pharmacies.

Certainly, you can say that, but we don’t stress you with figuring out who to buy from or doing price comparisons. That’s our job. ( Nigeria is stressful enough)

So, next time I am asked:

What does Pharmarun run do? It would be more accurate to describe us as an on-demand pharmacy that finds and delivers medication directly to you.
