PCOS
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a health condition that affects women’s hormone levels. Women with PCOS tend to produce more male hormones, called androgens, which can lead to issues like irregular menstrual cycles, trouble getting pregnant, and other health concerns.
Today, I am thrilled to share that we've just secured a significant $50,000 grant under the prestigious Investing in Innovation (i3) program, and it's more than just a milestone; it's a testament to the incredible journey we're on at Pharmarun.
Over the past 18 months, Pharmarun has become more than just a platform; it's a lifeline for countless individuals across Africa. As the Chief Products Officer, my role isn't just about features and algorithms; It’s the integral part of achieving the goals of the company it's about the lives we touch and the impact we make. Knowing that over 30,000 people have been on the Pharmarun app for over a year now, trusting us with their healthcare needs, is incredibly fulfilling and inspiring.
With the i3 grant and the extensive network it brings, we are presented with an opportunity to make a real difference in the affordability of medications. It's not just about creating a cutting-edge mobile app; it's about ensuring that healthcare is accessible without burdening your wallets. Speaking of wallets, you need to hear it from me first. We just launched our healthcare savings wallet & the first 100 transactions that check out with wallet enjoy free delivery 🙂
This grant enables us to explore new avenues, optimize our processes, and bring you the quality medications you deserve, at prices that won't break the bank.
One of the exciting features we're introducing is the ability to compare prices. We understand that making informed decisions about your healthcare is essential. This new feature will put the power in your hands, allowing you to choose the medication that suits your needs and budget best.
As we put this grant to use, anticipate a companion designed to empower you. From ordering medications with ease to receiving timely reminders and connecting with healthcare professionals, it's all about enhancing your healthcare experience.
But our mission extends beyond just empowering individuals; we are also committed to empowering pharmacies. By aggregating pharmacies, finance and logistics partners, we create a thriving ecosystem that ensures proper distribution and medication access when and where needed. Our technology streamlines operations for pharmacies, enabling them to serve their communities more efficiently. It's about enhancing their capabilities, allowing them to focus on what matters most—caring for you. At Pharmarun we are committed to to improving and creating a seamless solution for healthcare supply chain. Click here to sign up and register as a pharmacy partner.
As a Product Manager, I've witnessed the transformative power of technology in our lives. For healthtech, the stakes are different It's not just about keeping up with the times; it's about leading the charge. It's about bridging the gaps that have hindered healthcare accessibility for far too long.
Pharmarun's commitment to integrating technology into your pharmaceutical needs, isn't just a job for me; it's a personal mission as I have personally seen first hand what inconsistent access to medication can do to a person’s health.
It's about building products and innovating to ensure that more people have access to the medications they need and adhere to their treatment plans and prevent needless deaths and diseases.
To the entire Pharmarun community, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude. Your trust in us, your stories, your feedback – they fuel our passion and drive us forward.
Together, we will continue to innovate, leveraging technology for good, and making quality healthcare accessible to every African.
